As part of Beni Suef University’s commitment to promoting international cooperation and academic openness, the university participated in the Erasmus Days 2025 events, organized by the Spanish University of Vigo, , on October 14, 2025, within the Erasmus+ academic exchange program.
Islam Ahmed, a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence – Beni Suef University, gave a virtual presentation under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Qaid, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Ola Hamouda Ibrahim, former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science – Beni Suef University, via the Vigo University electronic platform.
The presentation lasted for five minutes, during which it addressed the outstanding cooperation between the two universities, while reviewing the most prominent achievements of Beni Suef University within the Erasmus+ program.
It is worth mentioning that the cooperation between the two universities began in 2017-2018 with the participation of four professors from the University of Vigo and two students from Beni Suef University, and it developed during the following years to include a continuous exchange of students and faculty members.
The current 2025-2026 session includes a master's student from the University of Vigo, and four students from Beni Suef University (three master's students and one doctoral student).
This collaboration has resulted in joint supervision of a number of master’s and doctoral theses between Dr. Mohamed Qaid from Beni Suef University and Dr. Rebecca Pilar Diaz from the University of Vigo, as well as the publication of more than ten joint scientific papers in prestigious international journals in the fields of artificial intelligence, computer vision and applied sciences.
This participation underscores the growing role of Beni Suef University in supporting international academic exchange and enhancing its global research standing, contributing to the development of a generation of distinguished researchers capable of competing and innovating in various fields of knowledge.
