The team of students of the Faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence qualified in the African-Arab Championship for Programming ACPC out of a total of 9 qualified teams. His Excellency the Dean of the Faculty and the Vice-Deans affirmed that the Faculty will spare no effort to provide all forms of support to them and to all the faculty members in order to raise the university’s name among all universities.
The President of the University explained that the competition is organized by the Regional Informatics Center of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for software for university students and the semi-finals for the competition after the participation of 3,000 teams from various universities and the participation of more than 10,000 students from Africa and the Arab world
Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, indicated that the university has participated in the competition since 2015, and the qualification for the Arab level this year is the first in its history Where the idea of the competition depends on developing students’ abilities to use methodological solutions and computer algorithms to solve industrial problems by writing a program to solve problems in the best way in the least possible time. The team consists of a coach and 3 students and students work collectively to solve the largest number of problems in the least time during a period  of the competition, which lasts for 5 continuous hours, where the winning teams qualify to participate in the International University Programming Competition.
