Over Three Days: Beni Suef Faculty of Computers Welcomes New and Returning Students

The Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence at Beni-Suef University welcomed both new and returning students during a three-day orientation event organized by the faculty, aimed at familiarizing them with academic departments, student activities, and opportunities for labor market preparation

The events were held under the patronage of University President Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali and attended by Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sayed Qayed. They were supervised by Prof. Dr. Farid Ali Moussa (Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs), Dr. Ahmed Bahaa El-Din Mohamed Farid (Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development), and Prof. Dr. Wael Hassan Gomaa (Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research). The event saw broad participation from faculty members and assistant staff, with oversight by Faculty Director Mr. Hisham Mohamed Eid, and was organized by the Youth Welfare Department in collaboration with the Faculty Student Union

In his remarks during the reception, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sayed Qayed welcomed both new and returning students, emphasizing the Faculty’s commitment to preparing an outstanding generation of graduates in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence equipped with modern skills that meet labor market needs. He also highlighted the significant attention the President of the Republic has devoted to this vital sector across numerous official engagements

The events included introducing students to the college’s programs, academic departments, and available training services. They also showcased various initiatives, technology-focused entities, and student activities that support labor market readiness—most notably Creativa, IEEE, ICPC, and RALLY, as well as AlGoSphere, which specializes in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data science. Representatives from these entities provided students with detailed explanations regarding the benefits and opportunities they offer

The events concluded with Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sayed Qayed commending the efforts of the faculty administration and the excellent coordination with the Youth Welfare Department and the Faculty Student Union; he also acknowledged the effective role played by everyone involved in organizing the event, ensuring it was conducted in an outstanding and distinguished manner befitting the stature of both the faculty and the university.
