A delegation from the College of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence is participating in the EDEX 2025 International Defense Industries Exhibition.
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence participated in the opening activities of the International Defense Industries Exhibition EDEX 2025 in its fourth edition, which was opened by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, at the Egypt International Conference and Exhibition Center, with the participation of major international companies in the fields of defense industries and advanced technology, and in the presence of official delegations from many countries.
The college delegation’s participation came as part of a visit organized by the leadership of the Popular and Military Defense Forces in cooperation with the Military Education Department at the university, under the supervision of Colonel Khaled Nabil, Director of the Military Education Department, and Lieutenant Colonel Taha Salah Matar, Deputy Director. The college delegation was accompanied during the visit by Professor Ibrahim Farjani, Director of Youth Welfare at the college.
Dr. Mohamed Qaid, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, affirmed the Faculty’s keenness to participate in such important events, as they provide a unique opportunity for the Faculty’s students to learn about the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, smart systems, and modern defense applications, which enhances their practical and scientific aspects and links the educational process to current global trends.
EDEX 2025 is one of the most prominent international exhibitions specializing in defense industries, witnessing wide participation from international exhibitors and official delegations from more than 100 countries, and showcasing the latest advanced technologies in the fields of defense and armament.
The college's participation comes within the framework of the university's support for the state's vision towards promoting innovation and linking scientific research with advanced technological applications.
